Past Art Projects

Public Art Utility Box Project

Matchgirl Productions brought new color to Bedford’s streets through a public art initiative that transforms electrical boxes into vibrant works of art.

Funded through a grant secured by Matchgirl Productions, the project features designs inspired by local history, including artwork from the Bedford Historical Society. Installed at key intersections throughout the city, these pieces add creativity to everyday spaces and reflect Bedford’s unique character.

This initiative is part of Matchgirl Productions’ broader effort to expand public art and create a more visually engaging, community-centered downtown.

Dreaming of Bedford Mural at Spirit Apotheosis

Dreaming of Bedford is a public mural commissioned by Matchgirl Productions and created by local artists Kristin Mitchell and Kathryn Hric.

Located on the side of Spirit Apotheosis in downtown Bedford, the mural celebrates the city’s history, creativity, and sense of community. Designed to be interactive, it invites visitors to engage with the artwork—whether spotting hidden details or stepping into the scene.

This project reflects Matchgirl Productions’ commitment to supporting local artists and bringing accessible public art to Bedford.
